Join Missouri Humanities and the Lebanon-Laclede County Library at Lebanon Cemetery on Saturday, October 11 at 12pm for "Buried History in Your Town!" with Dr. Jeff Smith.
Dr. Smith has been a public historian and professor for more than four decades. Now a specialist in cemeteries and the ways people interact with them, he is widely published and a popular speaker.
During the presentation, Dr. Smith will guide us through an interactive program--using our own cemetery to explore the history right under our feet! Using worksheets and discussion, we will explore our local cemetery to find people, stories, and events that will be discussed, analyzes, and interpreted there.
