The 2027 First Day Hike at Bennett Spring will be on the Natural Tunnel Trail. Meet at the Natural Tunnel Trailhead before 10am as we will begin promptly.
This trail is a strenuous, 7.5-mile hike with rocks, slopes, and uneven surfaces. Kids and pets are allowed but all participants must be physically able to hike this trail. We will walk to the stunning Natural Tunnel where we will eat lunch before hiking back to the trailhead.
Participants must wear comfortable closed toe footwear and warm clothes, and bring a sack lunch and plenty of water. Hiking poles are recommended.
This event will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or ice. Please contact the Nature Center and leave a voicemail with any questions (417-532-3925). This event is free and no registration is required.
