Join us at the library for a presentation--Observe and Preserve: Unearthing secret stories in hidden habitats--with the Dickerson Park Zoo on Tuesday, June 9 at 10am.
Animals live in many places we don’t always notice. While the great outdoors is a giant place for us to explore, many animals prefer to stay tucked away in hard to see habitats. They might remain hidden under leaves, inside logs, beneath the soil, and in quiet corners, hoping to remain inconspicuous. In this fascinating program, we’ll meet live animal ambassadors from Dickerson Park Zoo and unearth the secret homes they depend on to survive.
Children and adults alike will learn why some habitats should
be admired, not disturbed, and how simple choices can help protect wildlife. This program encourages curiosity and respect for nature, and will give participants practical ways to preserve the places that our animal friends call home.
This event is FREE and registration is not required.
*Programming is made possible by money raised and donated by the Friends of the Library.*
